There is no face of homelessness. It can impact a wide variety of people, at various points in life. We understand that and we’re here to help. Our programs and services are designed to help homeless residents of Madison & Shelby Counties get back on their feet and on the path toward self-sufficiency.
Our first priority is to ensure clients have safe, short-term accommodations. This may include negotiating a client’s current living arrangements to extend their stay until a permanent residence can be established. When necessary, we will place eligible clients at our own private shelters or find other appropriate accommodations.
Once safe, short-term accommodation is established, clients will receive one-on-one advocacy with a housing specialist to create a plan for a sustainable solution to end their homelessness. After acceptable housing is found, some financial assistance may be available to move out of homelessness and into affordable housing.
